What is stored without your consent
Two entries, both technically necessary within the meaning of § 25(2) TDDDG (German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act) — they require no consent, and you cannot deselect them without losing the function that depends on them:

What is added only after your consent
Exactly one thing: Google AdSense. We show advertisements in blog articles, and the associated scripts are only loaded once you have selected “Allow all” above. Before that, no connection to Google is established — no script, no cookie, no request.
With your consent, Google may set cookies and process usage data, including outside the EU. What happens there is set out in Google’s privacy policy; our own account of it is section 10 of the privacy policy.
What this website does not do
- No analytics tools — neither Google Analytics nor a self-hosted alternative.
- No tracking pixels from social networks.
- No fonts, maps or videos from external servers that would establish a connection when the page is loaded.
- No recognition across page views, no profiling, no resale of data.
That is why the banner on this website is not a wall of thirty providers: there is simply only one decision to make.
How to change your decision
Most easily at the top of this page. You can also delete the stored entry directly in your browser — the banner will then appear again on your next visit:

A withdrawal takes effect for the future. What has already happened with your consent remains unaffected — that is not a peculiarity of ours, it is what Art. 7(3) GDPR says.
Frequently asked questions
Do I lose anything if I allow only the necessary entries?
Nothing that makes up the website. All content, all four free tools, forms and the newsletter work in full. The only difference is that no advertisements appear in the blog articles.
Why does the banner ask at all if it is only about advertisements?
Because storing and reading information on your device requires consent under § 25 TDDDG (German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act) as soon as it is not technically necessary. That is the case for advertising cookies — regardless of how frugal the rest of the website is.
Do the free checks store my answers?
No. The AI check, the ROI calculator and the GDPR quick check run entirely in your browser; nothing is transmitted and nothing is stored. The visibility check retrieves the internet address you enter from our server — that is the only case in which an entry reaches our server.

In the privacy policy. There you will find, for each processing operation, the legal basis, the retention period and the service provider involved.
